You have to choose your Tarazu (scale) yourself in this universe. if you use harsh ways for some one for their misdeeds with you, You will be also punished in the same manner. But if you forgive every body for their deeds against you, You will be also forgiven by God.
So it is up to you to select the Tarazu for you.
