LADIES – MARCH 8th IS YOUR DAY!

LADIES – MARCH 8th IS YOUR DAY!

March 8th is International Women’s Day.

Ladies YOU are empowered to make the change.

Ladies, YOU can make the difference. About 50% of voters are women.

YOU have the power to make the change.

Please vote wisely. Please consider the following FACTS,

· Will you tolerate the moron MPs and ministers who insult women (Including their mothers, wives, daughters and sisters)?

· Will you put a stop to MPs and ministers who think insulting women with their ‘bochor’ and ‘women who get raped asked for it’ crude jokes?

· Will you stand up for the lady MP who was challenged to a fight outside parliament, by a deputy minister when she insisted on proper answers to her questions?

· Do you have compassion for Revathi who spent 6 months in detention, separated from her husband and weaning child just because she insisted on her right of freedom of worship?

· Will you stand up for Lina Roy who has to live in exile because she is denied the freedom of worship.

· Will you stand up for Subashini who could not get justice in the courts when her child was taken away from her.

· Will you stand up for Irene Fernandez of Tenaganita who was prosecuted just because she took up the cause of foreign workers who were mistreated in detention camps?

· Will you stand up for Ivy Josiah of WAO, whose shelter for abused women raided, and the volunteers intimidated, just because WAO cared for abused foreign female workers?

· Will you stand up for Ambiga of Bar Council for her courage in leading the lawyers in the march to the Palace of Justice?

· Will you stand up for the wives who are in agony and suffering while their husbands languish in ISA detention?

· Can you empathise with the terrible trauma faced by Sharlene’s parents. The authorities have stopped searching for her because they are too busy with the elections preparations. After all, is she just another female clild?

Dear GENTLEMEN, this message applies to YOU too. If YOU respect your mother / wife / daughter / sister, please vote for respect for women.

This Message was written by a man who cares; a man who believes that no woman should be abused physically, verbally, legally, psychologically or mentally.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO FORWARD THIS MESSAGE

Kudos for your efforts in putting forth many instances of women suppression. There are many such women in the world who hide their feelings out of fear social taboo financial background. Few men take advantage of their situation to exploit them. I pray your message percolates down the line so that men can reform them atleast now.
